Cameron Jacoby, president of the Weatherly Area High School Class of 2027, offered his first report as the new student representative to the school board earlier this month.

“So far, my school year has been off to an amazing start,” Jacoby started. “My classmates and peers have been amazing. My faculty, amazing as always. They’re always understanding and caring.”

Jacoby mentioned that many of the schools club and athletics will be starting up in the next few weeks.

“In soccer, they’re having like I think boys are having their first match tonight (Sept. 2),” he reported. “Girls already played in a three-one win against Marian. That was incredible.”

Volleyball just had their first match a few days ago.

“Cross country did great at the first meet. Mikayla Pugh placed ninth overall for the girls, and the golf team right now is three and four. They have a match right now, so hopefully they’re going to be 500 by the time that’s done.

“And the 19th is our homecoming,” Jacoby added. “We have two soccer games, a boys and a girls. The girls are at 11 am and the boys are at 1 pm. And then after there’s a bonfire at 6 pm, anybody’s invited you don’t have to be in high school.”

In addition to being Class President, Jacoby is involved in football, basketball, baseball, and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).
