Panther grad Hadley shines for Franklin & Marshall track team

Panther Valley graduate Austin Hadley has enjoyed a successful start to his track and field career at Franklin & Marshall College.

At the Diplomats’ recent Mini-Dip Invitational, Hadley broke into the school record book with his shot put throw of 13.16 meters that now ranks 10th in school history. The freshman placed sixth in the event.

Hadley took silver (12.55 meters) in the shot put at the season-opening Coach I Invitational on Jan. 20.

Hadley also had suited up for the Franklin & Marshall football team in the fall. He appeared in eight games, recorded eight tackles, including four solo stops. He had a season-best two tackles against TCNJ (Sept. 21), Gettysburg (Nov. 11), and King’s (Nov. 18).

The freshman recorded his first career tackle for loss at Muhlenberg on Nov. 4, finishing with 1.5 stops behind the line of the scrimmage. Hadley forced a fumble during the win against Kean on Oct. 28.
