State police at Frackville are searching for a man they say broke into a home Saturday on South Spencer Street in West Mahanoy Township.

The owner of the home was not in the residence but saw a man in his basement just before 5 p.m. with his home surveillance camera. He contacted his neighbor to check on his house.

The neighbor saw a man running out of the house and chased after him, but the man got away.

The suspect is described as 5-8 to 5-9 with a slender build. He was wearing black and white Nike sneakers, black pants and a black sweatshirt, with a red logo on the front.
