Lehighton Police Department reported on the following incidents:

• A 57-year-old man was arrested for DUI at 4:35 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Rite Aid at 241 N. First St. in Lehighton.

Police were dispatched to the store and observed the vehicle. They went to make contact with the man and saw he was passed out with the car running.

The man was taken into custody for DUI. Charges are pending tests results.

• At around 12:30 a.m. Feb. 1, the victim reported to police an assault that occurred on the 100 block of Gypsy Hill Road in Lehighton.

Two men approached the victim and began punching him with closed fists.

The offenders were last seen entering a vehicle and leaving the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
