Letter to the editor: Abortion extremists

Democrats are out of touch and fail to represent the majority of Americans who believe in protection for the unborn.

71 percent of Americans want significant limits on abortion. (Source: Poll commissioned by the Knights of Columbus and conducted by the Marist Poll)

77 percent of voters support legislation banning infanticide (the killing of an infant).(Susan B, Anthony List poll)

80 percent of Americans believe that third trimester abortions should be illegal. (The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research)

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg failed to condemn infanticide and said he does not think there should be any limits on abortion.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York) argued against a bill that would protect babies born alive during an abortion and said he would not support any restrictions on abortion.

Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman called abortion without limits “sacred” and said he wants to eliminate the filibuster to “codify” abortion without any limits.

From Republican Whip Steve Scalise:

Speaker Pelosi directed her radical caucus to block the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act more than 75 times. The Born-Alive Act does not restrict abortion, it only requires medical professionals to provide a baby who survives an abortion with the same level of medical care as any other newborn child. Why are House Democrats refusing to allow a vote on this commonsense legislation? House Republicans have made it clear that all life is sacred and must be protected.

Why are Democrats denying care for the unborn?
