He answered the call to help feed students in the Palmerton Area School District who started virtual learning and needed lunch.
It’s only fitting, then, that Kedar Kankia, owner of Relly’s Deli and Convenience Store in Bowmanstown, was recognized as the borough’s Neighbor of the Month.
Kankia received the award from Mayor Zach Snyder at Tuesday’s borough council meeting.
Snyder said the business provided about 1,400 meals to students in the school district.
“I couldn’t ask for more,” Snyder said. “Thank you for all you do.”
Relly’s Deli and Convenience Store is located at 600 White St.
