Calling all brides-to-be and mothers of the brides. The Eldred Community Thrift store is holding a blowout bridal gown and mother-of-the-bride dress sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday.

There are racks and racks, enough to fill an entire room with elegant, full skirted, swirling white taffeta dresses and trendy wedding dresses with straight skirts. The price of wedding dresses starts at $80 and goes up from there.

“Many of the dresses donated still have the store tags attached, and most of the other dresses are folded and stored in their dry cleaning box,” said Donna Deihl, the Community Thrift Store manager.

The mother-of-the-bride dresses offer a wide choice in colors, sizes and styles. They are all priced at $20.

Accessories

If you need accessories to complete your wedding day outfit, you will find just what you need, right down to the shoes. All accessories, including shoes, are only $5.

Deihl also said the thrift store has some lovely prom dresses and if you know someone who is going to the prom, let them about the thrift shop where no prom dress is over $20.

The thrift store is open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
