Republican Brandon Bell of Penn Forest Township announces his candidacy for the Penn Forest Township board of supervisors. A born and raised native of Penn Forest Township, he grew up participating in sports for Jim Thorpe Area School District and working locally throughout high school.
After graduating in 2016 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, deploying twice overseas and partaking in multinational training. Honorably discharged in July of 2020, he rejoined civilian life and began working for Sargent Enterprises of Jim Thorpe.
“My service in the Marine Corps has helped me learn what it takes to be a leader. I’ve learned how to look at obstacles and overcome them no matter the difficulty. I wish to take my experiences and knowledge and use them to make positive changes in my community. I want to continue with the progress our township has made in the area of transparency. I also hope that I might inspire other younger individuals to step up and engage in local government. I want to keep taxes low and fair, and help in maintaining a financially responsible township, without the burden of wasteful spending,” Bell said.
“Penn Forest Township is my home, I grew up here and I want to see it continue to grow and thrive. I look forward the opportunity to serve my neighbors in Penn Forest Township.”
