Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash in Mahoning Township.

The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Route 443 and Seneca Road. A female driver going east slowed down in traffic and was struck from behind. Her car crossed the westbound lane, coming to rest in a private lot. The striking unit came to rest along the eastbound berm.

Lehighton paramedics treated both victims.

Assisting at the scene was the Mahoning Valley fire company. Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident.
