Tamaqua emergency personnel were dispatched to an accident with injuries Tuesday night along Route 309.

The crash occurred at 8 p.m. south of the borough near the West Penn Township border.

A sedan with heavy damage came to rest along the right northbound lane.

A second vehicle was reported to be a distance from the scene.

The victims were being treated by members of the Tamaqua ambulance.

All four lanes of roadway were closed. Tamaqua police are investigating the incident.
