Exactly when visitors will be allowed back into Bowmanstown Borough Hall is uncertain.
Mayor Zach Snyder brought the matter up for discussion at Tuesday’s borough council meeting.
“Does council have any plans when we’re going to open the building,” Snyder said. “It’s been 12 months.”
Councilman Rob Moyer said he believes that council needs to review its COVID-19 policy on a monthly basis.
“You’re right, we should open,” Moyer said. “But residents have been able to come in by appointment.”
Snyder explained the reason for his inquiry.
“The residents are frustrated,” Snyder said. “I just don’t think the building should be closed indefinitely.”
Borough solicitor Lisa Pereira said she is aware of several municipalities that are fully open to the public while still maintaining at least 6 feet of social distance.
Council did not take any action on the matter.
