Jim Thorpe begins kindergarten registration
The Jim Thorpe Area School District would like to announce the kindergarten registration process for the 2021-22 school year.
Parents are asked to complete the online process by logging on to the Jim Thorpe district website, www.jimthorpesd.org, and following the directions for the 2021-2022 Online Kindergarten Registration (highlighted in red).
Appointments will be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at either the L.B. Morris school or the Penn-Kidder Campus school as determined by the physical address:
• March 22 and 23 will be held at L.B. Morris School
• March 24 and 25 will be at the Penn-Kidder Campus School
Required documentation at the time of the appointment includes:
• Proof of child’s age (child’s birth certificate, passport, a medical record showing the child’s date of birth, hospital documentation, baptismal record). Reminder: children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1.
• Child’s immunization record
• Two proofs of physical residence
• Photo identification of parent/guardian
• Custody/guardianship papers (if applicable)
At the time of your appointment, the following health and safety protocols will be followed:
• Masks are required to enter the building.
• A temperature check and health screening questionnaire will be completed
• Parents will be admitted to the building by a secretary. It is highly suggested that only one parent/guardian attend the appointment. Also, the child does not need to be present.
• Bring your own pen to the appointment. Hand sanitizer stations will be available in the lobby.
• Registration areas will be sanitized between appointments.
