Thanks to the commissioners, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department will now have a place to conduct ongoing training.

The commissioners executed an agreement with Freedom Firearms LLC for one year starting on Feb. 12, 2021. The cost for using the facility for ongoing training is $4,500 for the year.

Other business

• The commissioners also reappointed the following board members to the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport Authority Board: Dave Moyer, George Strunk, Karl M. Weiler and John Kerrick. Their terms will expire on Jan. 1, 2026.

• An agreement was executed with S.H.L.S. Corp. to provide for printing of the County/Township/School property tax bills for a five-year period from Jan. 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2025.

• Notice of the availability of request for proposal applications for the Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance Program.

• A revised agreement was executed to participate in the Unemployment Compensation Program of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Trust to reflect operational changes from the original trust agreement.

• Submission of the 2021-2022 Hazardous Materials Response Fund Grant application was ratified.

• Authorization was approved for the treasurer to open a bank account at East Stroudsburg Savings Association for the courthouse expansion/renovation project.
