Kidder Township Supervisors met Friday afternoon for a short special meeting, and voted unanimously to waive the mechanical device fee for this year. The fee, normally $50 per vending machine, arcade machine or the like, raised $4,550 for the township in 2020.

Given the effects of COVID-19, including shutdowns and other restrictions on the businesses that host these devices in Kidder, supervisors voted to give those businesses relief from the fee for one year.

Only one business had paid their fee so far in 2021, and that money will be returned.
