Community invited to free COVID-19 vaccine talk

St. Luke’s University Health Network, PPL Electric Utilities, Faces International and Union Baptist Church will hold a free virtual discussion for the community on the COVID-19 vaccine, its origins, its effectiveness and its from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday.

“Your Questions Answered: A Community Discussion on the COVID-19 Vaccine” will address the mistrust of health care by communities of color and share scientific information on the development of the COVID-19 vaccine. Panelists include:

• Tecile Andolino, MD, pediatric nephrologist and Leonardo Claros, MD, section chief of bariatric surgery and medical director for the Weight Management Center, St. Luke’s University Health Network

• Benjamin T. Hailey, Sr., senior pastor for Union Baptist Church of Allentown

• Barney Graham, MD, Ph.D., deputy director of the Vaccine Research Center and the chief of the Viral Pathogenesis Laboratory, National Institutes of Health.

The discussion will be moderated by Monica Brooks, manager of diversity & inclusion, PPL Electric Utilities. The panelists will also participate in an open Q&A session immediately following the presentation.
