Towamensing Township supervisors voted this week to keep taxes level.

The real estate tax remains at 2 mills.

The proposed 2021 general budget was tabled. Supervisors are scheduling a workshop to rework the budget.

• TLK Properties LLC Subdivision on Basket Lane in Lakeview Estates has been approved. The three lots were good lots, but failed the perk test. DEP required the lots to have fill trucked in and dumped on the lots. The lots had to let the fill settle for four to five years. In October, after four years, the lots were retested and passed.

• The supervisors received a thank-you letter from the Polk and Aquashicola Fire Department for the donations and all the support the township has provided. In response to the thank you letter, all the supervisors agreed the fire department has come a long way since last year and are now very active with their fundraising efforts and are more visible in the community.

• The next supervisors meeting (reorganizational meeting) 5 p.m. Monday, with supervisors regular meeting to follow.
