An Albrightsville man has been charged with assaulting his girlfriend during an argument.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by trooper Matthew Kizis of the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop N, Fern Ridge in the case against Christopher Arguinzoni:
At 10:30 a.m. Dec. 8, Kizis arrived at a home in the 1200 block of Route 209, Chestnuthill Township, in response to a physical altercation between Arguinzoni, 32, his girlfriend, and their neighbor.
Arguinzoni and his neighbor were engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical.
During the argument, Arguinzoni smacked his girlfriend in the right side of the face two times, and then punched her on the left cheek, causing a laceration under her left eye.
The neighbor heard the argument and went to break it up, at which time Arguinzoni punched the neighbor in the right side of the ribs two times.
Arguinzoni’s girlfriend sustained a visible laceration under her left eye.
Arguinzoni faces charges of simple assault and harassment.
He is currently incarcerated in the Monroe County Prison in lieu of $50,000 monetary bail and scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Jan. 8 before District Judge Colleen Mancuso of Brodheadsville.
