Firefighters were on scene at a chimney fire in West Penn Township Wednesday evening.
A supervisor with the Schuylkill County Communications Center said the fire at 800 Lizard Creek Road was called in at 5:06 p.m. by a fire chief.
He said the chief called after noticing what the supervisor said was black smoke from the chimney. He didn’t know the extent of the damages.
Additional information was not provided.
Responding to the scene were fire companies from East Penn, West Penn and Mahoning townships and New Ringgold. The Mahoning Ambulance also responded.
