Franklin Township supervisors took the following action on Tuesday:
• Set the garbage collection rates for 2021. The rates stayed the same.
• Approved the extension of the Declaration of Disaster regarding COVID-19.
• Agreed to have board Chairman Jason Frey sign the quitclaim deed regarding 327 Held St.
• Frey attended a teleconference on Dec. 9 regarding the RCAP grant and St. Luke’s.
• Changes in garbage collection pickup for Christmas and New Year’s Day as follows: The Dec. 25 collection will be Dec. 24, while the Jan. 1 collection will be Dec. 31.
• Christmas trees can be disposed of at the Phifer Ice Dam Park using the Penn Street entrance beginning Dec. 26, and continuing until Jan. 31, 2021, for township residents only.
• The board’s reorganizational meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 4, with the regular monthly meeting to begin at 6 p.m.
There will be no meeting on the third Tuesday of January.
