Northwestern’s Rosamalia to attend Widener

Northwestern’s Zach Rosamalia will be continuing his academic and lacrosse career at Widener University.

Rosamalia was instrumental in the Tigers starting a varsity program his junior year. He was voted a team captain and helped his club post a 6-10 record. He finished the season with 24 goals, 16 assists and 52 ground balls.

Rosamalia, who also played lacrosse in the NYAA (Northwestern Youth Athletic Association) since sixth grade, was a member of the club team HEADstrong where he played with some of the top players in the Lehigh Valley and received coaching from some of the area’s best mentors.

This past fall, Rosamalia became a member of Northwestern’s soccer program and played the goalie position. Despite his lack of experience, he helped the Tigers win a district championship.

The senior, who expects to be a transitional middie at Widener, plans to major in biology and become a teacher. He also hopes to one day coach lacrosse.
