Firefighters from Lansford, Summit Hill and Coaldale responded to a porch fire in the 500 block of East Bertsch Street at about 1 p.m. on Wednesday. When firefighters arrived on the scene, a small section of boards on the porch was on fire. It was quickly extinguished before spreading to the rest of the dwelling. Lansford police also responded. The cause is under investigation.
