The Lehighton Downtown Initiative will host Wine on the River from noon to 5 p.m. May 4 at the Lehighton Outdoor Center, 123 Lehigh Drive, Lehighton.

It will consist of wine tasting from 11 wineries throughout the eastern part of the state, according to Bambi Elsasser, treasurer of the LDI.

Elsasser said the event will also be comprised of food, crafters, and a variety of vendors. Those who attend must be at least 21 years of age.

There will also be live music by Eric Stimmler from noon to 2:30 p.m., as well as Damian Walck from 2:30-5 p.m.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 the day of event and designated drivers are $5. Advanced tickets can be purchased at Blended Bakery; Jenny’s Sweets and More; The Lehighton Outdoor Center; Perfect Balance Boutique; Radical Wine Company, the Styling Zone, or any LDI member. They may also be purchased through PayPal at LDILehighton@gmail.com. Simply include how many tickets, address, phone number, and the tickets will be mailed out. Otherwise, tickets may be picked up at will; call the day of event, and be sure to note this on PayPal.

All advanced ticket purchases will be included for a drawing of a basket of wine.
