Todd Rundgren returning to Penn’s Peak

Penn’s Peak announced that Todd Rundgren returns at 8 p.m. June 14 with The Individualist Tour.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rundgren began playing guitar as a teenager, going on to found and front Nazz, the quintessential ’60’s psychedelic group. In 1969, he left the band to pursue a solo career, recording his debut offering, “Runt.” But it was 1972’s seminal “Something/Anything?” on which he played all the instruments, sang all the vocal parts and acted as his own producer, that catapulted him into the superstar limelight, prompting the press to unanimously dub him “Rock’s New Wunderkind.”

It was followed by such landmark LPs as “The Hermit of Mink Hollow and A Wizard,” “A True Star,” as well as such hit singles as “I Saw The Light,” “Hello It’s Me,” “Can We Still Be Friends” and “Bang The Drum.”

Coming to the Peak at 8 p.m. July 25 is the Moscow-based Leonid & Friends.

In just three short years, the band has blown the minds of legions of fans with their uncanny ability to capture the spirit, musicality and fire of American super-group Chicago.

Leonid Vorobyev’s goal was a studio project in dedication to Chicago under the motto “musicians for musicians.” Their first video went viral, but they really gained traction when Chicago itself published the video on its official website.

This incredible 11-piece tribute band has more than 200,000 followers across social media and has had an astonishing 30 million-plus video views without ever touring outside of Russia.

The future is only looking up for Leonid & Friends.

Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at all Ticketmaster outlets, the Penn’s Peak Box Office and Roadies Restaurant and Bar. Penn’s Peak Box Office and Roadies Restaurant ticket sales are walk-up only, no phone orders.
