Brent Weiss, of Brodheadsville, was selected for a competitive internship with the 2019 Cattle Industry Convention & National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Trade Show.

Weiss is a Delaware Valley University animal science major who is specializing in livestock science. He assisted with all facets of the national convention, which was held Jan. 20 through Feb. 1 in New Orleans.

“I am very honored to intern for NCBA at the 2019 Cattle Industry Convention,” Weiss said. “This opportunity will allow me to represent the beef industry, DelVal, and myself at the largest annual meeting for cattle producers. I hope to make invaluable connections with industry professionals from all over the country while expanding my knowledge about beef cattle and the industry that I hope to make an impact on some day. Attending the convention has always been a dream of mine, let alone getting to be behind the scenes, helping out with all facets of the event.”
