McAdoo May traffic stops

Traffic stops during May by McAdoo police resulted in numerous drivers facing charges.

• Sharee Heckman, 25, of Allentown, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and a traffic offense. She was stopped at 11:18 p.m. on May 26 for having heavily tinted windows. Tests for marijuana were positive.

• Bethzaida Batista, 46, of Hazleton, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and a traffic violation. She was stopped at 10:11 p.m. on May 26 for having heavily tinted windows. Tests for marijuana were positive.

• Jessica Kerrick, 31, of Tamaqua, was charged with three counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and for failing to use lights during a dense fog. She was stopped at 6:34 p.m. on May 27. Three half smoked roaches were found in her vehicle. Tests for marijuana were positive.

• Luz Roman, 38, of Hazleton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and improper window tint. The charges stem from a May 29 incident.

• Edward McDonald, 57, of Kaska, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in connection with a stop at 1:30 a.m. on May 30. He was stopped for an inoperative passenger side taillight. He was found to be in possession of Tramadol, for which he had no valid prescription.
