An armed robbery was reported at a Schuylkill County truck stop early Tuesday morning.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at 2:17 a.m. at the Pilot Travel Center located at 483 Sudeberg Road (Route 443) in Pine Grove Township.

Troopers said a white man entered the truck stop and walked up to the cashier, a 39-year-old woman, and demanded money from the cash register.

The man then lifted up his sweatshirt and revealed a firearm in his waistband and said he would use it if she didn’t do as he said.

The cashier then handed over money from the register. The man pocketed the money and left the store.

He was last seen entering a black four-door sedan and going eastbound on 443.

He was described as having facial hair, wearing a black and yellow hat, a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and black-and-white shoes.
