Three cited for brawl at bazaar

McAdoo police cited three men involved in an altercation at the McAdoo Fire Company bazaar on June 18. All three are charged with inciting a riot, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Officers were called to the event at 11:35 p.m. for a fight in progress. The caller said there were 14 to 15 people involved in the altercation.On scene officers saw a woman on the ground, surrounded by a crowd of people. The woman was disoriented due to being sprayed with mace by a Pennsylvania State Constable, who, along with another constable, was trying to break up a fight.Before officers arrived constables were trying to handcuff Christopher Orefield. Andrew Pollack, 28, of McAdoo reportedly put his hands on one of the state constables then came back and tried to attack him as the crowd grew larger. The constable used the mace to try and disperse the crowd.Officers spoke with Jesse Jadush, 38, of McAdoo, who said the fight started after he was struck in the mouth by a Francis Styka. Jadush refused medical treatment, then refused to leave the scene when told to disperse by police.Jadush and Pollack were arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, who set bail at $10,000 unsecured for each man.A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Orefield.
