A 2-year-old boy was struck by a car Monday afternoon in Lehighton.

The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. as a female motorist was traveling north on North West Alley when she struck the child.

The child was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics then transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Trauma Center in Allentown.
