The Palmerton Camera Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton.The program will be a print salon open to members only. kminnich@clickonaurora.com.Jerusalem UCCJerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville will hold two services on Christmas Eve.At 4 p.m. there will be songs and skits that celebrate the meaning of Christ's arrival in a unique way with lots of carols and joyful music, led by Pastor Kathryn Foster, youth and God's House Band.At 7 p.m. will be a traditional candlelight service celebrating love, joy and peace. Everyone is welcome to attend.Jerusalem EvangelicalJerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trachsville, will hold a Contemporary Advent Service and the children's Christmas Pageant at 10:15 a.m. Sunday.Dec. 24 will be Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 7:30 p.m. All are invited to join in the services.Holy Trinity NewsHoly Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, will have one service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. There will be no 8 a.m. service. The worship service will include Holy Communion and the Children's Christmas Pageant.It is also Undies Sunday. Donations will benefit Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley. In addition to undies for women and children, they also need hats, gloves, scarves, disposable diapers and personal items. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated.Dec. 24 will be Christmas Eve Candle Light Service with Holy Communion at 7 p.m.Food pantryThe Food Pantry for Palmerton Area families in need will be open Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton. The food bank is sponsored by CACPAC and is in need of canned goods, nonperishable food items, and /or monetary donations. Food items may be taken to any local church or to the food pantry. For monetary donations, please call Bonnie Green at 610-826-4503 for directions on where to forward the donation.Library bag saleIn the month of December at the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., purchase a library tote bag for $5 and fill it free one time with book sale items. You may also buy a tote with a receipt, give it as a gift to a friend or family member, and with the receipt they can fill the bag with used books and movies.Daisy-Head MayzieAt 10:30 a.m. Dr. Seuss' "Daisy-Head Mayzie" presented by students from Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts will be performed at the Palmerton Area Library, in the upstairs gallery. This is free and open to children, parents and public.Senior CenterThe Palmerton Senior Center located at the Palmerton Ambulance Building, 501 Delaware Ave. will hold its Christmas party on Tuesday.
