William R. Mason of Jim Thorpe has been hired as an information and referral counselor in the Carbon County Office of the Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health-Mental Retardation Program.A graduate of LaSalle College of Philadelphia, Mason did graduate work at Boston College. He has been a caseworker for the Carbon County Child Welfare Services for seven years.Mason and his wife, the former Nancy Bernhard, and their three children, Todd, Ricky and Scott, live at 917 Center St., Jim Thorpe.The office will provide information and assistance to people in need of mental health or mental retardation services.
