Rush Township police have released details in a two-car crash Thursday in Hometown that injured a local woman and another crash the same day in Barnesville in which impairment in suspected.

According to Sgt. Duane Frederick, police responded to a collision at the junction of Lafayette and Ardmore avenues at 1:21 p.m.Police said a car driven by 14-year-old female runaway from Noxen failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. The car driven by the teen struck a vehicle driven by Lily Sagl of Lake Hauto.Sagl and the teen were taken to St. Luke's Hospital - Miners Campus.Police said the teen is facing numerous charges.In another incident on the same day, police investigated a 5:23 p.m. crash in which a vehicle driven by Harold Elliott, 55, of Nesquehoning struck a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Brittany Sell of Tamaqua.Police said Elliott was driving a red 2008 Chevrolet Equinox and was heading east on Route 54 in the area of the Barnesville Post Office. Elliott's vehicle crossed over into the westbound lane and struck the rear passenger side of a car driven by Sell, said police.Elliott was stopped a few miles later on Pine Creek Drive near Marian Avenue and showed signs of intoxication, according to police.He was taken for blood work and is facing numerous charges, said police.
