State police at Fern Ridge are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday evening at a Monroe County restaurant.

Troopers said a man entered the China Eat In & Take Out restaurant, located in the Mountain Crest Plaza, off Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township, at 7:35 p.m. and demanded money from the register at gun point.The suspect removed about $130 to $150 from the register and then fled the scene. He was last seen in a late model silver sedan.The suspect was described as a man of unknown race, about 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet-tall, muscular build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, with a mask covering his face.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
