Tamaqua Area School Board will continue to run under the same leadership next year.

On a 6-0 vote, veteran Director Larry Wittig was once again reappointed board president during the board's annual reorganization meeting on Tuesday.Also reappointed as board vice president was Director Thomas Rottet.Directors Bryan Miller, Mark Rother, and Rottet were absent.The board set its 2016 meeting schedule, and will continue to hold workshops on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m., and regular meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.The board set its special and standing committees as follows:• Auxiliary Committee: Rottet, chairman; Miller; and Rother• Finance Committee: Daniel Schoener, chairman; Aaron Frantz; and Wittig• Education Committee: Eileen Meiser, chairwoman; Wanda Zuber; and Melanie Dillman• Health and Welfare Committee: Rottet, with Dillman as alternate• Hearing Committee: Zuber, chairwoman; Meiser; Wittig; Rottet, alternate; Rother, alternate• Uniform Committee: Schoener, chairman; Rottet; and Zuber• Legislative Awareness: Wittig• PSBA Representative: Wittig• I.U.
