Three Walnutport Council members have retained their seats after they ran unopposed in the general election Tuesday.

Democrat David Stankovic, with 110 votes, Democrat Michael Gaston (103), and Republican Matthew Newhard (102), all were re-elected to four-year terms on Walnutport Borough Council.Over in Washington Township, Gerald Phillips ran unopposed and earned 666 votes in his bid for a seat on the township's board of supervisors.Vincent A. Stahl ran unopposed and earned 600 votes in his quest for constable.
