Embezzlement protection

The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a breakfast seminar designed to help business owners identify and prevent the crime of embezzlement. Sponsored by Schuylkill County District Attorney Christine Holman and Rich Shupp, president of Cloud Service center and a certified QuickBooks pro adviser, the breakfast will be held from 8-9 a.m. Nov. 10 at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center, 125 Pine St.Preregistration is required and may be made by calling the chamber office at 570-668-1880.St. John LutheranThe Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at this Sunday's 9:15 a.m. worship service in St. John's Lutheran Church. The service will include the observance of All Saints' Day and Holy Communion.Also on Sunday, Sunday school and Confirmation classes meet at 10:30 a.m.Next week's activities include: Monday, worship and music committee meets at 6:30 p.m.; Thursday, daylong DiMaggio's fundraiser, angel choir rehearses at 6 p.m., shepherd choir practice is at 6:30 p.m., chancel choir meets at 7:30 p.m.St. John UCCThe Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy will officiate at the 9:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday in St. John United Church of Christ. The service will include Holy Communion. Sunday school classes will begin at the end of the junior sermon.
