Ex-Palmerton woman faces burglary charge
A woman wanted for burglary and other offenses has turned herself in.
Tara Good, formerly of Palmerton, turned herself in at the office of Magisterial District Judge Ed Lewis of Jim Thorpe on Sept. 29.She was arraigned and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.At the time of Good's arraignment, Mahoning and Jim Thorpe police, arrested Ryan Kristiansen, her boyfriend, on an outstanding warrant from Northumberland County.During Kristiansen's arrest, police seized items in his vehicle that had been stolen from a Packerton Dam Drive residence on Sept. 19.As a result, Kristiansen was charged with burglary, a felony; criminal conspiracy - burglary, a felony); criminal trespass, a felony; criminal conspiracy-criminal trespass, a felony; theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a felony; and criminal conspiracy-theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a felony.Kristiansen was placed in Carbon County Prison under $50,000, 10-percent bail in addition to the outstanding warrant.On Oct. 6 at 1:38 p.m., township police responded to a retail theft at Walmart. Loss prevention reported Good had stolen merchandise valued at $42.During the investigation, police seized 10 bags of heroin. At the time of the incident, Good had three children with her under the age of 14. The children were released to a relative.For that incident, Good was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; and retail theft, a summary offense.She was placed in Carbon County Prison in lieu of $25,000, 10-percent bail.Good was also charged with several offenses for a burglary on Teliha Drive on Sept. 21.For that, she faces charges of burglary, a felony; criminal conspiracy-burglary, a felony; criminal trespass, a felony; criminal conspiracy-criminal trespass, a felony; theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a felony; and criminal conspiracy-theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a felony.Bail was set at $50,000,10 percent.As a result of the ongoing burglary investigations, township police on Oct. 8 charged Kristiansen with several offenses for the Sept. 21 burglary on Teliha Drive.Those include burglary, a felony; criminal conspiracy-burglary, a felony; criminal trespass, a felony; criminal conspiracy-criminal trespass, a felony; theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a felony; and criminal conspiracy-theft by unlawful taking or disposition, a felony.Kristiansen was arraigned Oct. 13, and bail was set at $25,000, 10 percent.
