Chambers host mixer at Slopeside

Newly appointed Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors CEO, and Carbon County native, Justin Porembo will be introduced next week to the memberships of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation, Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors.

An event hosted by all three organizations from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Slopeside Pub & Grill in Palmerton.At the end of 2014, the Carbon County and Lehigh Valley Associations of Realtors joined forces to become the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors and create the third largest Multiple Listing Service in Pennsylvania.GLVR has been seeking ways, such as this month's mixer, to further strengthen ties between the communities of the two counties and encourage additional business relationships to flourish."Carbon County and Lehigh Valley Associations of Realtors joining together to form the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors has yielded so many benefits for real estate professionals, buyers and sellers in both our communities," explains GLVR President Chris Raad."We said to ourselves, 'Why not introduce other businesses to this amazing synergy and see what other wonderful partnerships might develop?'"Marlyn Kissner, Executive Vice President, Northern Region, of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce-Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation shares in Raad's enthusiasm for the fledgling partnership and the networking opportunities it can offer."We believe in the power of partnerships on every level and look forward to supporting the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors," Kissner said."We are very excited to be a part of this great event.
