Beginning Tuesday, motorists who travel through Brodheadsville can expect traffic delays as a project to improve the intersection of Route 209 and Route 715 gets underway.

The project is intended to reduce congestion and improve safety along Route 209 at its intersection with Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township.Crews will be widening the intersection to provide for turning lanes, which will include a left turning lane with turning arrow from Route 209 north to Route 715 north; left turning lane from Route 209 south to a driveway; and right turning lane with turning arrow from Route 715 south to Route 209 south.It also includes replacing and upgrading the existing traffic signal, sidewalk construction and other miscellaneous construction.
