A Sugarloaf man is facing charges after a traffic stop in Rush Township on March 3.

Richard D. Thomas, 42, was stopped on Claremont Avenue at 9:26 p.m., then transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street in Pottsville for blood tests.Results of the testwere positive, showing a blood-alcohol content of 0.173 percent, more than double the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
