Michael Matirko, son of Karen Matirko, Weatherly, has been named Senior of the Month for September at Weatherly Area High School.

Michael is captain of both the high school Scholastic Scrimmage and the Engineering team, and president of the WAHS Interact Club.He is a member of the National Honor Society, and is also involved in the drama club and the math team.In the community, Michael volunteers his time through Interact and National Honor Society activities, and has been involved in Student Forum, the Envirothon, and Science Olympiad.For two summers, he has worked for the school district as an assistant to the information technology director.
