The business "world" is coming to Wilkes-Barre.

A free program is coming to northeastern Pennsylvania to help businesses expand into the global markets.The event, "Bringing the World to Northeastern Pennsyvlania," will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 22 at the convention center at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.Twenty-two trade advisers from around the world will be on hand to provide businesses with assistance breaking into and streamlining international business sales.Businesses can select up to six advisers to meet with one-on-one to discuss their products, business goals and possible assistance to accomplish their goals.Last year, 31 Northeastern Pennsylvania businesses met with the trade advisers, which resulted in 174 one-on-one meetings. A number of these businesses generated sales from meeting with the trade advisers.Registration is required.
