Lansford woman given jail term for drug dealing; others sentenced

Seven area residents were among 26 who entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in Schuylkill County court and were sentenced by Judge Jacqueline Russell as follows:

Alisen Vanger, 24, 19 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, formerly of Coaldale, delivery of heroin in Tamaqua, serve three to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving seven days, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, and perform 20 hours of community service. Vanger was cited by Patrolman Anthony Stanell.She was also cited by Coaldale Chief Timothy Delaney, for possession of a controlled substance in 200 block on Fisher Avenue, and must serve an additional 12 months on probation, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, perform an additional 20 hours community service, and make restitution of $176 to Bethlehem Regional LabKenneth Robert Shankweiler, 51, of 9 State Road, Barnesville, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, serve 48 hours to six months in the county prison with the sentence to begin Friday, June 28, at 6 p,m, fined $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center (SMC), perform 20 hours community service, attend alcohol highway safe driving school, complete outpatient substance abuse treatment, and driver's license suspended 12 months. Shankweiler was cited by Rush Township Patrolman Bradley Hess. On a summary charge of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic was fined $25 plus $50 costs.Alicia Rae Bennett, 23, of 328 Hazle St., Tamaqua, theft, serve one to 12 months in the county prison with the sentence to begin Monday, July 1, at 9 a.m., pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 20 hours community service.She was cited by Trooper Michael S. Allar, who also charged her with attempt to commit theft by deception and she was given an additional 23 months on probation, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 20 more hours of community service. Bennett also pleaded guilty to theft from Dunkin Donuts and was given a concurrent 12 months probation sentence but must make restitution of $595.70 to the store and perform an additional 20 hours of community service. Bauder, 30, of 401 Winter Mountain Road, Andreas, West Penn Township, formerly of Lansford, disorderly conduct, placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 20 hours community service. He was cited by Tamaqua Chief Richard Weaver, with obtaining a wallet belonging to Stephenie Steff. Charges of terroristic threat and possession of a controlled substance were dismissed.Zachary David Pisanchyn, 20, of 171 Sunny Drive, MaryD, Schuylkill Township, DUI of alcohol, serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison, fined $1,000, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $460 to SMC, perform 20 hours community service, attend safety school, complete outpatient substance abuse treatment, and driver's license suspended 12 months.
