Klock was granted a divorce form Kyle Klock, both of Ashand. They were married March 26, 2010.Scott B. Richards, Cressona, was granted a divorce from Barbara A. Richards, Hamburg. They were married Aug. 24, 1991.Patrick J. Davie, Saint Clair, was granted a divorce from Cheryl A. Davie, Llewellyn, Branch Township. They were married June 28, 2003.Robert L. Nettles was granted a divorce from Kelli L. Nettles, both of Minersville. They were married Feb. 14, 1998.Leslie D. Beam, Orwigsburg, was granted a divorce from Ralph R. Beam, Harrisburg. They were married May 6, 1978.RevocationsHeather Marie Bernitsky, 33, of 125A Coal St., Cumbola, Blythe Township, was removed by Judge James P. Goodman from the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) because of the violation of the terms of her probation.She had been placed in the program for six months last January when she pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. Goodman re-sentenced her to serve 60 days to six months in the county prison and she shall only be paroled to an in-patient drug and alcohol facility, must successfully complete the program as well as of any aftercare treatment, and must have a suitable place to reside.The court also ordered when on parole she must submit to random drug testing, complete 20 hours of community service, and when her driver's license is restored she must install an ignition interlock on the steering wheel of her vehicle for 12 months which monitors if the driver has consumed alcohol beverages.William E. Coward, 42, Ashland, had his probation revoked by President Judge William E. Baldwin who re-sentenced him to serve nine to 36 months in a state corrections facility. Coward had pleaded guilty to alttering or forging the license plate on his vehicle and was sentenced last December to serve12 months probation which was now revoked because of violating rules set by court.Christian VanHorn, 35, Mahanoy City, had his probation revoked by Judge John E. Domalakes and he was re-sentenced to serve four to 18 months in the county prison and he is eligible to apply for an earlier parole if accepted into an inpatient treatment facility. The court revoked his probation because he violated rules set by court by possession of drugs and failing to keep up payments on his court costs.VanHorn had pleaded guilty to charges of simple assault on Glolria Capece, of 33 Hillside Drive, Barnesville, and criminal mischief to to her vehicle.Bail hearingAnthony Kushmanick, Gilberton, had his bail reduced by Judge James P. Goodman from $15,000 percentage to $15,000 unsecured on two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, possession, and possession of a drug paraphernalia.Permits issuedEleven permits were issued by the county zoning office in March with the estimated cost of construction at $192,865. Fees paid for the permits totaled $1,640. Those who obtained permits were:Blue Mountain Wind, LLC, North Union Township, installing a temporary wind test tower at cost of $6,700; Jeffrey Snyder and Jeffrey David Snyder, and Marsha Ann Everett-Snyder, North Union Township, residental accessory structure, $12,000; Anthony S. Cernuto, North Union Township, additional deck on home, $9,000; James N. Bainbridge, Landingville, residential addition, $71,000; Jason L. Langkam,Tremont, detached garage $18,000; Janel Hirsch, Mechanicsville, porch, $1,500; Hubert G. Plungis, East Norwegian Township, deck, $1,600.Also, Benjamin Schneider, Washington Township, residential accessory structure, $13,000; Glenn R. Bensinger, Upper Mahantongo Township, addition to home, $30,000; Barry and Shirley Troy, Union Township, accessory structure to home, $65; and Daniel S. and Tara Leffler, Tremont Township, addition, $30,000.Treasuer's reportCounty Treasurer Jacqueline V. McGovern released the report for county expenditures in March.The beginning balance of all funds was $46,174,655.11, deposits, $11,993,424.96; disbursements, $12,574,389.83; and ending balance, $45,593,690.24.Included was the transactions in the general fund.The beginning balance was $10,986,698.10; deposits, $4,686.362.70; disbursements, $3,100,306.39 and $12,572,754.41. Rest Haven Home and Hospital, beginning balance, $219,312.28; deposits, $1,597,794.30; disbursements, $1,788,235.76 and ending balance, $28,870.82.Revenues received from taxes were, real estate, $3,067,600.68 which included $150,685.56 for the funded debt tax and $61,243.40 from the per capita tax on each adult. Revenues received by the treasurer's office for sale of dog, fish, hunting, bingo, and small game of chance licenses totaled $5,400; fees from magisterial district justices offices, $52,301.34; 9-1-1 tariff on telephones, $57,066.07; 9-1-1 earnings, $1,018.48; and hotel tax, $12,568.29.Revoke probationWilliam E. Coward, 42, Ashland, who was placed by Judge John E. Domalakes in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) for five years after pleading guilty to nine counts of person not to possess or use firearms, had his placement in the program revoked and he was re-sentenced to serve 24 to 48 months in a state correctional facility. The firearms were confiscated by Butler Township police from his home plus 10 rounds of ammunition.Children placementsThe Children and Youth Services agency in its first quarterly report announced there were 1,859 children that are receiving services. Of these children 202 are in placement and 1,657 are receiving in home services.Of those children entering placements in this quarter, four because of child abuse, two because of the child's uncontrollable behavior or emotional problems, five because of inadequate housing or lack of basic needs, four because of lack of supervision or neglect, 17 because of delinquency, eight because of drug and alcohol problems, and two because of of paren's mental health issues.The agency also has 960 family caseloads. The average daily cost per child is $115.58 and during this quarter the agency purchased 18,021 days. The county's grant for the first quarter is $22,399, which represents nine percent of the total grants paid for the quarter. The state is the major contributor.Credit card debtAmerica Express Centurion Bank, Salt Lake City, Utah, filed suit against Robert Makara, 272 Ferndale Road, Zion Grove, North Union Township, alleging he owes $2,287.25 on his credit card plus costs.
