Petrick faces charges of theft of medical supplies from Saint Catherine's Hospital in Butler Townhip.Sex offenderChristopher Michael Romberger, 24, of Tower City, who has been determined by a state evaluation board to be a sexually violent predator, was sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin on charges of corruption of a minor, indecent assault, statutory sexual assault, criminal attempt to commit involuntary deviiate sexual intent, aggravated indecent assault. and indecent exposure, to serve 10 to 20 years in a state correctional facilty with credit for serving 38 days in the county prison, pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, make restitution of $673 in lab fees. He was cited by Trooper John Sleboda and entered a guilty plea to the charges last December but sentence was deferred pending the evaluation.Changes pleaKeith Earl Wykle, 24, Pottsville, when summoned to select a jury to start his trial chose instead to plead guilty to a charge of simple assault.Judge Charles M. Miller accepted the plea and deferred sentencing until May 9 and ordered a pre-sentence investigative report prepared by the adult probation department. Wykle was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Renee R. Galle, with assaulting his girlfriend's mother.
