Daniel Hollan, 30, no address given, faces charges from an incident which took place on March 7 at 4 Springgarden St., Lansford.

Felony charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property were filed by Det./Sgt. Jack Soberick. A warrant has been issued for Hollan's arrest. Anyone with information concerning Hollan is asked to contact police at (570) 645-5844. All calls will be kept confidential.According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:Soberick was following through on an investigation begun by officer Joshua Tom, who had taken a complaint/report of a burglary that occurred overnight or in the early morning hours of March 7. Tom had gotten the report from the victim, who said she awoke at 4:30 a.m. and saw that several jewelry boxes had been taken from her bedroom and scattered on the living room floor. She said that the items in the boxes were missing, and also that money was missing from her purse and a small change purse.Tom had reviewed video surveillance recorded in and around the apartment building. He found that, clearly visible in the video images, was a slightly-built person wearing a tan hoodie with off-white fuzzy lining, baggy jeans, and white sneakers. The overall build and clothing were consistent with that worn by Hollan.The person on the video was recorded crossing the street and entering the apartment building at 39-41 E. Ridge St.The victim provided a written statement to Soberick, indicating that she had gone to bed, and, being a heavy sleeper, did not hear anything after that point. Her statement said she awoke at 4:30 a.m. to find that someone had been in her apartment. She was upset to find the jewelry boxes in the living room, because it meant that someone had been in her bedroom while she was sleeping.Listed as missing are a diamond wedding band, a cluster-style diamond ring, a blue topaz ring, a scarab bracelet and other items.At about 3 p.m. March 7, Soberick saw a Tina Phillips wearing a similar jacket to the one being worn in the surveillance video from the burglary. Phillips is Hollan's live-in girlfriend. Shortly thereafter, Soberick and Officer Brian Horos contacted Hollan and had him come into the police station to be interviewed.Before leaving, Phillips allowed police to take the tan jacket. At that point, Soberick saw that Hollan was wearing sneakers that were similar to those in the surveillance video, and that his jeans were of a similar style and fit as the ones seen in the video.Hollan was given his Miranda warnings several times, and agreed to waive those rights and speak with police. He readily admitted having gone into the victim's apartment and taking the jewelry, which he sold at Loretta's Nook pawnshop in Lansford for $67.
