Six poker machines and cash were seized from the American Legion in Lansford last Friday, Jan. 4, according to the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

The seizure occurred following an investigation, according to authorities. About $1,600 was taken by agents of the bureau, which is under the direction of the state police.No charges have been filed against the Legion to date.If charges are filed they would be heard by an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose a fine or revocation of license, or both.Some poker machines are legal. It is illegal, however, for payoffs to be made for points won by playing a poker machine, it was noted.
