Phoenix Rehabilitation hosting blood drive
PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services, Inc. (PRHS) will be hosting a community blood drive in conjunction with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center on Monday, Oct. 7 from 2-5 p.m. at the PRHS outpatient physical therapy office, 1022 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive East in Lehighton.
All eligible community members are asked to consider donating with the goal of keeping the area's blood supply at an optimum level.
"Hosting the blood drive each year is a great opportunity for PRHS to give back to the community and to thank area residents for their continued support," said Rachel Robb, PRHS facility director and physical therapist.
The Miller-Keystone Blood Center's donating region covers Lehigh, Northampton, Upper Bucks, Montgomery, Warren, Berks, Carbon and Schuylkill counties.
To be eligible to give blood, donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in general good health. Please remember to bring a valid photo ID.
If you are uncertain about whether or not you can donate, a Blood Center professional can help you determine eligibility. For more information and to schedule your donation appointment, call PRHS at (610) 377-5845. Walk-ins are also welcome, and refreshments will be provided.
