Burglary, theft incidents probed

State police at Frackville reported investigating a burglary and theft from a vehicle.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Joseph Webb, 35, of Raricks Road, Zion Grove, North Union Township. Entry to the home was made sometime on Wednesday, July 31, between 11:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Cash was removed, troopers said.

The vehicle break-in occurred along Interstate 81 in Delano Township. A 2000 International truck was parked in a construction zone when unknown criminals cut padlocks off the vehicle's rear door.

They then entered the vehicle and removed various hand and power tools. The tools are valued at $7,000.

The entry occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Wednesday, and 6 a.m. on Thursday.

Troopers are also investigating a theft from vehicle incident in Bowmanstown. Troopers said the vehicle of David Thomas Hunsicker, 29, of 675 Fireline Road, was entered sometime between noon Sunday, July 28, and Monday at 9 a.m. Troopers did not state what was taken in the incident.
