A cat on a Schuylkill County roadway was blamed for a one vehicle crash. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the accident occurred about 4:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, along Red House Road, in North Manheim Township.

Troopers said a 17-year-old male from Pottsville was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse eastbound when he said a cat entered the road. He applied the brakes and swerved to avoid the animal.The car skidded about 120-feet before it went onto the berm and traveled about 40 feet until it went down an embankment. The teen was not injured and the car did not sustain any damage, troopers said.Troopers cited the teen for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
