Published September 13. 2012 05:02PM

Coaldale police are on the trail of a man who assaulted a Lansford man at Fourth and Phillips streets Wednesday morning and grabbed a large amount of cash from the man's car.

William Juliano, 33, whose last known address was his grandmother's house on Ruddle Street in Coaldale, allegedly asked Jordan Tessitore, 20, for a ride to Lansford.

As Juliano was getting into Tessitore's car, he saw the cash sitting on the console. Juliano punched Tessitore in the head, grabbed the cash and ran west on Ruddle Street, said Coaldale Police Chief Timothy Delaney.

A warrant is expected to be issued today for Juliano's arrest. He is charged with robbery, receiving stolen property, theft of property, theft from motor vehicle and simple assault.
